AGUALINDA AND LECHUZA TO THE FINALS OF THE BRONZE CUP POLO CHALLENGE 2016

Agualinda 10 Samanes 7
MVP Pelón Stirling

From Throw-in to final bell Agualinda had their opponents in an unshakeable headlock. The Uruguayan was undeniable and shot through two goals in the first chukka and three in the second while Frayssinet could only put through one in the first. Silva was valiant as usual and lived up to his usual feisty performances with a goal in chukka 3 but by then his opposite number, Alfredo Vargas had started his own gold rush with a goal per chukka in 3,4 & 5.

Los Samanes were paralyzed in 4 & 5 with one sole mark from Santi Toccalino, but then stirred in the 6th as Agualinda relaxed. Chino Frayssinet put in 3 goals and Toccalino one more but by then with double figures in the scoreboard, Agualinda had won their place in Saturday's Final.

Lechuza 12 vs Power Infastructure 6
MVP Juan Martin Nero

Lechuza have a clear run to the final of the Bronze Cup as they sweep Power Infastructure aside, doubling their score. Power had 1 to start but that was quickly neutralized by Toto Collardin who went on to score two more as the short penalty taker. After a quiet second chukka Nero the ramped it up by hammering home three goals, two of them incredible long shots from tight angles, more characteristic of his La Dolfina team mate Pelon. After half time it was Victor Vargas turn for glory as he led an expedition of four goals against a paltry 1 each from James, Novillo and Laprida.. Jauretche contributed with one in the 4th and another in the 5th but Vargas took away top goal scorer.

Lechuza face their sister team Agualinda in the final on Saturday at Los Establos.
