Ten teams are ready to compete in the Justerini & Brook Prince of Wales Cup

The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club announced the teams and fixture of the upcoming Justerini & Brook Prince of Wales Trophy which, as usual, will kick off the 22-goal tournaments in England. The Justerini & Brook Prince of Wales Trophy is due to start on Wednesday May 4. 

One of the most important competitions within English polo, the Justerini & Brook Prince of Wales Trophy has been played since 1986 in the club located in Winkfield, near Windsor, which was established by the late Bryan Morrison, and had HRH Prince Charles Prince of Wales opening the club as its first member. Furthermore, Morrison not only developed a passion for polo but he is also remembered as a remarkable businessman and music mogul, who managed the careers of several rock stars, such as Pink Floyd, The Jam, The Bee Gees, The Police, George Michael, among others,

The 2022 edition of the Justerini & Brook Prince of Wales Trophy will see ten teams up to 22 goals, compete, split in two leagues. Current title holders, Thai Polo will be in participation, but with a couple of changes within their lineup. The remaining members of the 2021 foursome, the Hine brothers, Louis and Ned will be joined by  Facundo Llosa and Glen Gilmore.  Alejandro Muzzio and Rufino Bensadon, the two former members of Thai Polo last year, will play with Cibao La Pampa/Chapaleufú, Juan Pepa’s team, who will make his debut in British high goal as well as Charles Wooldridge with Twelve Oaks. Another significant comeback to British high goal is Dubai, with a lineup that will include Rashid Albwardy and Camilo Castagnola, who claimed the Gold Cup for the British Open in 2019.

The final of the Justerini & Brook Prince of Wales Trophy is set to be played on Saturday May 14.
