England’s opposition confirmed for first International of the season
The Americas line-up for the St. Regis International Cup has been announced. The ‘visiting side’ will consist of Nacho Figueras, Jaime Huidobro, Matias Torres Zavaleta and Manual Elizalde. As the highest rated player on the team, Chilean 8 goaler Jaime Huidobro will naturally take on the role as Captain. Whilst Huidobro is the man in charge for The Americas, the event will see James Beim make his home debut as England Captain. On this occasion he will be taking to the field alongside fellow 7 goaler Max Charlton and 6 goal players Richard Le Poer and James Harper.
The event, which is set to take place at Cowdray Park Polo Club in West Sussex on Saturday 16 May is the first International event of the UK season. In 2014, an England side featuring Beim and Charlton claimed victory over South America, 11.5 goals to 8.
