Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club has announced that Metropolitan Intervarsity Polo 2015 – The London Challenge will take place from 21 to 26 July 2015 at the club.
Organised by Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club, polo teams from the University of Cambridge, the University of London, the University of Oxford, Harvard University, Stanford University and Yale University will arrive in Tianjin for the tournament in July.
Metropolitan Intervarsity Polo 2015 is the only varsity polo tournament in China. Last year’s champion University of London will definitely put up a strong defence to keep their title against the 5 university teams, all expected to put up a fierce fight for the position.
The tournament attests to the club’s continued commitment to promote polo in China, especially to the youth. It provides the platform for social and cultural exchange among the representatives from the 6 universities, local students and their parents.
The preliminary rounds will be played on 21, 22 and 23 July, the semi-final on 25 July and the final on 26 July in Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club.
