An even start , 1-1 after the first, with flashes of brilliance but also some inconsistency by Ellerstina. El Paraiso scored twice early in the second but two short penalties by Facundo Pieres levelled 3-3 at the end of the second. Ellerstina then held El Paraiso scoreless while they scored four third chukka goals, 7-3. Penalties were exchanged early in the fourth and at half time it was 8-4.
Ellerstina started the second half with a goal that took three shots to cover the length of the field from Nico to Facundo then Polito who scored, 9-4. El Paraiso responded with Santiago Toccalino hitting a penalty to brother Cubi, who tapped to score, 9-5. Facundo then scored from over 100 yards out and had a short tap in penalty, 11-5. Nico scored from 70 yards out, 12-5 but Santiago Toccalino responded, 12-6. Nico scored again to end the seventh chukka 13-6. Tincho scored his third goal early in the eighth, 13-7. Tincho scored a 30 yard penalty and the match ended 13-8 in favour of Ellerstina.
Ellerstina seem to be getting back to their former pass and run flat out style that was so successful pre-2013 but they need to reduce the fouls they commit and improve their shots taken to goals scored ratio.
