On the weekend of July 20, 2018, Farmington Polo Club held the USPA Northeast Circuit Women’s Challenge tournament called the Pink Ribbon Cup. This tournament was in honor of Sunny Hale, the best woman polo player of her time, who passed away at age 48 from breast cancer. In addition, this tournament was sponsored by Susan G. Komen of New England, who was also the tournament’s charity, in support of and to raise money for the fight to end breast cancer.
Women from around the country came out to participate in this tournament and to keep Sunny Hale’s memory alive. For the second year in a row, Stage Hill Polo took the trophy.
