Boat International: Newport is one of the ‘Best Place in the world for watching polo’

Newport Polo is very pleased to announce that the Newport International Polo Series was named one of The Best Places in the World For Watching Polo this month by Boat International.

The media source featured 5 exceptional and unique international destinations for watching polo besides Newport, including Montenegro, Sotogrande in Andalucia Spain, St. Moritz in Switzerland, and Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic.  Newport, RI was the only US destination.  Highlighted in the article’s Newport feature was a description of our polo viewing options, a brief history of how the sport’s first American foothold became Newport, and a nod to sponsor Veuve Clicquot Champagne as well as to promotional partner America’s Cup Charters.

“We are honored to be short-listed in such distinguished company,” comments Dan Keating, Founder and President of Newport Polo, “and fortunate to have garnered international media attention to an audience of upscale travelers, not only on our brand but more importantly, our destination.”- Advertisement –
