Great fun polo set the stage for the Great Plains Circuit Arena Women’s Challenge B Flight “Chicks With Sticks” including a women’s arena 0- to 4-goal challenge in Bentonville, Arkansas, at the Benton County Fairgrounds. NWA Polo Club (Verity Cameron, Noel Dallison, Jordan Cook, Samantha Leach) took first place in a round robin with an overall score of 24 goals. NWA played well together with first time teammate Leach who demonstrated both strong defensive and offensive skills.

OKC Polo Club’s Mas Fina came in second with 19 goals and Texas Tech Polo was third with seven goals.
OSU Polo Club President Alison Thomas was named Most Valuable Player. Playing in the event annually, this is her second time winning the award. Best Playing Pony honors were given to Angie Bailey’s horse Chillin as he helped her score multiple penalty shots. Amelia Fisher of Texas Tech received the Sportsmanship Award.

Players and guests enjoyed pizza and pasta at MJ’s Pizzeria on Friday hosted by NWA Club President Kevin Gardner. On Saturday NWA Polo Club hosted an asado at the Koehler Farm.
