US Women’s Open: Hawaii Polo Life claimed 2020 edition and retained title

Hawaii Polo Life took a narrow 6-5 win over BTA/The Villages, and won the 2020 edition of the US Women’s Open, following the final that was played on Saturday February 27 at International Polo Club Palm Beach.

Both teams had significant within their respective lineups, with regards to those in 2020 – the winners had Nina Clarkin’s comeback to the polo fields. This final marked the conclusion of the tournament that was postponed in the semifinals stage, due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in March 2020.

Thoroghout the four chukka game, Hawaii Polo Life dominated the score, widening their advantage with Nina Clarkin scoring goal after goal. In the last period, BTA/The Villages outscored Hawaii Polo Life 4-0, but the efforts didn’t pay off, as the deal was already said and done. Hawaii Polo Life won the match and retained the title they won in 2019.

The US Women’s Open saw eight teams up to 22 goals compete.
