The 2022 Newport International Polo Series begins Saturday, May 28 with a full six-chukker match at 5 p.m. The series continues weekly through Sept. 24. Teams from Ireland, Portugal and New Zealand join other U.S. teams from New York and Palm Beach to compete against the hometown, co-ed equestrian team.
This first match benefits the Newport Rotary Club’s charitable efforts with a gate admission of $15 per person; lawn admission is $20 for the remainder of the season. In case the field is too wet for the horses’ safety, a rain-date match will be held on Sundays. Tailgating begins at 3 p.m. . Join in the iconic divot stop at halftime and other Glen Farm polo offerings. Newport Polo was founded in 1876 and is a charter member of the U.S. Polo Association.
