The HPA has announced that England will play Brazil for the Coronation Cup on International Day at Guards Polo Club on 26 July. This will be the fourth time that these two mighty polo-playing nations have faced each other in this match, with England victorious in 1996, 2001, and 2011. Brazil has an otherwise strong record in international polo, with three World Championship titles in 1995, 2001, 2004 and equalling Argentina’s record of eight medals in the World Championship series.
The morning game for the Whitbread Tankard will feature a super competitive tussle between Young England v Young Argentina. The home side won this battle last year and will be eager to deliver a repeat performance. Action starts at 11am.
