Minneapolis, MN – The Twin City Polo Club is proud to present the 36th Annual Polo Classic, a summer fundraising event benefiting This Old Horse, Inc., taking place on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025. This beloved event, now in its 36th year, has become a staple of summer in the Twin Cities, attracting visitors from near and far to witness the thrill of polo matches, enjoy family-friendly activities, and support a great cause.
The event kicks off at 11am with gates opening, followed by the main match at 2pm, which is expected to conclude around 4pm. Attendees can enjoy a fun-filled day with a variety of activities, including a car show, jump-off competition, photo stops, and the chance to try their hand at swinging a mallet from a wooden horse. The event also features the traditional “stomping of the divots” during halftime, where spectators are encouraged to participate by walking onto the field to stomp turf back into the holes created by the horses’ hooves.
Fashion is a significant part of the day, with attendees encouraged to dress in their finest attire, from derby-style hats and fascinators to dress pants and coats. However, there is no dress code, and comfort is also welcome. Visitors are invited to bring picnic or tailgating items to enjoy throughout the day.
