San Diego polo is back, bringing quality competition to one of Southern California’s most beloved coastal destinations. This season, the sport returns with a full schedule of events co-hosted at two venues: Bonsall Polo Farm in Bonsall, California, owned by German Coppel, and Rancho Agave Equestrian (part of Twin Palms Polo Club) in Valley Center, California, owned by Chris Maloney.
San Diego polo offers opportunities for both experienced competitors and those new to the sport. The season will officially kick-off on Saturday, June 7. The summer will feature weekly practices and matches managed by Graham Bray and Ashton Wolf, offering a full calendar including a 6- to 8-goal six-chukker Pro-Am league, including two USPA-sanctioned tournaments, a four-chukker Pro-Pool coaching league, and access to two world-class fields and a regulation-size arena. Lessons and horse rentals will also be available for new and returning players, along with top-quality stabling.
The all-inclusive resort-style Pro-Am will feature white glove service complete with team tents, stocked coolers, snacks, finals barbecues and league parties throughout the season, allowing participants to focus on playing, not prepping.
