Exceptional evening at Guards Polo Club
On Saturday 28 June, The Standing Rock Polo Foundation was launched at Guards Polo Club during an evening celebrating native American culture and values. Guests were greeted on the evening by Native American performers from South Dakota, USA, dressed in magnificent regalia. Standing Rock Polo Team’s mission is rooted in a deep respect for the values upheld by Native American tribes.
Central to Standing Rock’s ethos are the ‘Seven Lakota Values’ – enduring principles that guide Standing Rock’s actions both on and off the field, including generosity, respect, kinship, compassion, fortitude, wisdom and spirituality. The Standing Rock Foundation is made possible through the generosity of private individuals and corporations and the Foundation supports carefully-selected initiatives that reflect Standing Rock’s core values and missions currently including: James’s Place, Laureus Switzerland, Lakota Waldorf School, Sands End Associated Projects In Action (SEAPIA), Bastifund, One Nation Walking Together and Children’s Hospital Bethlehem.
