They now play polo all year round. Starting in the beginning of October (when the grass season ends) straight through winter to the end of May. During these months they play in a 150 by 300 outdoor lighted arena (if weather permits), or in their 80 by 200 indoor arena.

With viewing from either floor of a two story heated indoor lounge, players, guests and family members can enjoy polo in comfort during any weather.

Their schedule changes from season to season. Starting in the spring they play in their outdoor arena Wednesdays at 5pm, Fridays at 5pm with the main event the 3rd Friday of each month starting at 7pm and Sundays at 11am. Then in late fall they return to their winter schedule indoors playing Thursday evenings at 7pm, Saturday evenings at 6pm and Sunday mornings at 11 am.

Here’s a video, but of the outdoor arena: http://www.country-farms.com/polo#!__polo/news-and-videos

Since we often “tail gate” at polo – for this one, we’ll go over to the warm and cozy Mill House Inn in Yaphank on the Lilly Pond: http://www.millhouseinnyaphank.com/

Oh….if you need to rent a polo pony or get lessons, they do that too LOL. I have visions of a Shades of Fun “Slow-Polo” team – a combination of golf, croquet and maybe bocce ball but done on horseback HAHA.
