Final Will Be Sunday 13 December at RCBPC
This Sunday, Polo Times will be represented by a 15 goal team in the Final of The HPA National Club Championships at The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club. Wearing the blue Polo Times shirts will be Jamie Morrison, Chairman for RCBPC, and professional players Howard Smith and Roy Prisk. They will be playing against the formidable 10 goaler, Chris Hyde, who is under the patronage of Hilali Noordeen’s team Sifani. Joining them on the Sifani side will be Cambridge-based Edward Morris-Lowe. The game has been scheduled for 1pm following on from the 6 goal HPA Christmas National Championships Subsidiary Final (Vaux Park will play RCBPC Gaucho) and Final (Los Caballeros will play EPC Tex8n Polo).

About the Polo Times team:
Howard Smith (6): is a regular professional on the arena circuit. He has been playing for the last 15 years at the Berkshire and Ash Farm. Highlights include winning the National 6 and 12 Goal HPA Club Championships, The Arena Gold Cup and also The Bryan Morrison International at Hickstead. He has also represented Scotland at the Gaucho International at the O2 Arena. Howard has also has played multiple snow polo tournaments, including St Moritz.
Roy Prisk (3): has played polo since he was 18-years-old. He has travelled all over the world to play in the USA, Jamaica, Ghana, Tanzania, France, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Brunei, Russia, Germany, Jersey, Denmark, China, and Barbados.
Roy has played every level of polo in the UK, up to 22 goal for the Brunei Royal family, and has he also worked and played with Bautista Heguy, Mike Azzaro, Memo Gracida and Cody Forsyth. Currently based at The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, Roy manages Evgeny Chichvarkin’s Hedonism Team, playing up to 10 Goal tournaments and also organises polo parties. His more recent polo playing successes have included winning The British Open Beach Championships for England (receiving the Most Valuable Player Award), The Gaucho Polo at the 02 Arena and The 12 Goal HPA National Club Championships with Max Charlton.
Jamie Morrison (6): started playing when he was 13-years-old at The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club which was founded by his late father, Bryan.
Having played in The Pony Club and been coached by his dad, he went on to first represent England Juniors at the age of 16. Career highlights include winning The Prince of Wales Trophy, two European Championship gold medals for England and Polo in the Park a staggering five times.
Jamie has won The Arena Gold Cup on five occasions and played in two Test Matches for England in both South Africa and in the UK as well as winning against Scotland in 2010. In 2015 he won the Snow Polo World Cup in St Moritz.
