5-8 Goal Series Dates Announced

The arena committee have announced a new series of tournaments for the 2016-17 UK arena season. The Victor Ludorum series in the summer incorporates five different handicap levels that are very popular for a number of teams from 18 to 6 goal at a range of different clubs around the country. The new arena series is aimed at teams between 5 and 8 goals to encourage players to visit more clubs and arenas this winter. Six of the busiest arena clubs have now confirmed their inclusion in the series, with the first tournament to be held at Westcroft Park Polo Club for the HPA National Club Championships. Druids Lodge, the Ormerod family run Club will be the second in the fixtures list and home of the Arena Gold Cup the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club will be the third location at the end of January. The All England Polo Club Hickstead, also the location for the Bryan Morrison International Test Match, which is tipped to be between England and the Commonwealth next March, follows fourth in the series. The home of SUPA University Arena Nationals and the Midlands Polo Festival and one of just a handful of covered arenas, Rugby Polo Club will host the penultimate fixture. The newly HPA affiliated Emsworth Polo Club and home to Simon Arber’s Four Quarters teams have yet to confirm their dates but they will also host a tournament for the series.
