The Polo Masters Cup started today with Edrees Polo winning the opening match of the tournament against Wolves by 10 goals to 9.
Edrees Polo, team made up by patron Sultan Edrees, Juan “Tito” Ruíz Guiñazú, Pierre N ́Goumou and Ariel Ponzi had a great start in the first two chukkas but a great comeback by Wolves in the third period put a little of suspense in the last seven minutes of the match.
Tito Ruíz Guiñazú scored two consecutive goals for the final victory of Edrees in the opening match of the Polo Masters Cup.

The tournament will continue tomorrow with Habtoor Polo facing Mahra Polo from 4 pm at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club
Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice Chairman of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club, launched The Polo Masters Cup, a new medium goal tournament with teams seven teams taking part.
The tournament is up to 14 goals handicap and will be held at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club from Monday 8th February to Monday 15th February 2016.

We are delighted to announce the Polo Masters Cup 2016, a new addition to the polo sport in Dubai. This will be the first tournament that will be held at Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club.
The newly developed Al Habtoor Polo Club & Resort, located in DubaiLand will be a horse lovers dream.

The centerpiece of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club will be a five-star St. Regis hotel, a brand that has long been associated with polo, since the turn of the 20th century in fact! However it marks the first-ever St. Regis polo resort.
