2017 Colorado Open Polo Championship

TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW

The inaugural Colorado Open Polo Championship features the top international polo players, including Adolfo Cambiaso (the world’s #1 player) in his first-ever tournament in the Rocky Mountains. The Colorado Open offers the only opportunity to watch Cambiaso compete in North America for the remainder of this year. Joining him in Denver are Valiente team veterans who won the United States Open Polo Championship with him: Diego Cavanagh and Matías Torres Zavaleta (2017) and Guillermo Terrera (2015).

In addition to featuring players at the highest levels of the sport, the Colorado Open was created to expand high-goal polo to the reach of developing players and young pros. One of the teams is a sponsored all-professional team, Hawaii Polo Life, comprised of four young players.

Four teams, all of which played in the 2017 Columbine Cup that ended August 6, will compete in the Colorado Open. The players are rated by United States Polo Association, with handicaps from 0 to 10 (10 being the highest).
