Tortugas Open & Torneo Remonta y Veterinaria

The opening tournament of the 2017 Triple Crown, the Tortugas Open kicked off in Argentina on Tuesday 19 September. In the first match, La Aguada Las Monjitas beat La Irenita 17-8, whilst in the second match, Alegría beat Cría Yatay 16-13. These scores mean the Semi-Finals are set to be the same as the 2016 tournament – La Aguada Las Monjitas will face La Dolfina whilst Alegría will take on Ellerstina. The tournament will resume next weekend.

Elsewhere across Argentina, the Torneo Remonta y Veterinaria kicked off in Pilar on Wednesday 20 September. This tournament will decide the positions of the four remaining teams into zones for the Hurlingham and Palermo Opens. In the first match, La Albertina Abu Dhabi beat La Esquina Los Machitos 12-6 whilst in the second match of the tournament Chapaleufú beat La Dolfina Polo Ranch 11-8. The teams will play their alternate opponents today, Monday 25 September.
