Ayala Polo Team claimed the II Patrick G. Hermes Cup, the médium goal tournament held at Santa Maria Polo Club, in Sotogrande. The team formed by Íñigo Zobel, Maximiliano Malacalza, Santiago Laborde and Daniel Garador, beat Dos Lunas by 11.5-9.
The final positions remained as follows:
– 1st place Ayala Polo Team
– 2nd place Dos Lunas
– 3rd place JP polo
– 4th place Pilar Chico
– 5th place Equus
– 6th place Pakistán
Also at Santa Maria Polo Club, Ambiorix- Sapphire won the low hándicap Takito Polo Mallets Cup after defeating Biarritz by 7.5-5.
The activity in Sotogrande will resume next weekend with the XIII Copa Jerez from Friday 30 to Sunday July 2. The tournament will feature two categories: low and médium goal and will take place on the fields of Puente de Hierro.
The much awaited 46° Torneo Internacional de Polo, considered one of the best tournaments in the world and the highlight of the european summer, will kick off in mid July.
