CHATEAU D’AULNE & DARK ICE: DESERVED CHAMPIONS ON THE FRENCH RIVIERA
A fantastic polo day was held on Sunday at tSaint Tropez Polo Club with the finals of the Cote d’Azur Polo Cup, the first 18-goal tournament on the French Riviera. After two thrilling matches, guests enjoyed the “Sunday Polo”, the traditional event created by the club for each final day; this time the theme was “Hippie Chic”.
The 18-goal final kicked off at 5pm, with a clash between Chateau D’ Aulne and Las Plantas. The match was very even throughout, and had to be decided in extra chukka. Finally, Chateau D’Aulne’s Sebastián Harriott scored a penalty for the win.
Next up, the 10-goal category saw Dark Ice face Amanara. After a great comeback (they were 3 goals behind), Dark Ice took a 7-6 win. It was a great team performance, led by Juan Jauretche.

The next tournament due at the Saint Tropez Polo Club will be the Open du Soleil, with two categories: ADS (18 goal) and Argentine Foods (10 goal). Both competitions will see five teams in participation. Polo kicks off on Thursday, August 17.
