A golden goal in extra time ensured it was the Cowdray Park team that won the annual battle of the best of the youth players of these two great clubs. The orange shirts won the match 8-7 in a competitive game on the Castle Ground at Flemish Farm. George Pearson also received the Images Of Polo Best Playing Pony prize.
Created by Polo Managers Chris Bethell and Antony Fanshawe in 2015, this match gives Cowdray and Guards’ leading young players the chance to play their peers on good grounds, creating competitive play.
With Cowdray winning this year, the tally now stands at 2-1 to the orange-shirted team. So the Guards team will have to be at their peak to level the series in 2018.
