MASERATI ROYAL CHARITY POLO TROPHY

THRILLING MATCH AT BEAUFORT POLO CLUB.

The UK round of Maserati’s International Polo Tour saw a thrilling match at the Gloucestershire-based Beaufort Polo Club; it was the second consecutive year the event took place, and once again, it was a great success.

Playing at the historic British ground was a very special guest: HRH The Duke of Cambridge. Prince William played on the Maserati team alongside England International star, Malcolm Borwick, as well as Bruce Merivale-Austin and Henry Porter. His Royal Highness took part in the game in aid of charities Child Bereavement UK and Fields in Trust, of which The Duke is Patron.

Playing on the opposing Dhamani 1969 team was HH The Maharaja of Jaipur, Karan Thapar, Nina Clarkin and Olly Tuthill.

The win went to Dhamani 1969, whose powerful performance secured the 7-6.5 victory. After an impressive match, the MVP prize was presented to Henry Porter.

This is the fourth year Maserati and polo partner La Martina have hosted a global polo tour, and the UK match was the third of five matches on the calendar. The 2017 season spans nine months, covering two global continents.

Showcased alongside the star-studded line-up of polo players was the entire Maserati line-up including Maserati’s newest model; the luxury Levante SUV.

The Maserati Polo Tour continues on July 22 with the start of the “46° Torneo Internacional de Polo” at Santa Maria Polo Club in Sotogrande, Spain.
