7 teams, 2 Leagues, and 29 international ladies, disputed the 18th Zürich International Ladies Polo Cup last weekend in Polo Park & Country Club Zürich. Finally the young players from Team San Francisco de Asis won the International Ladies Cup at Polo Park Zürich 2017.

On Saturday, polo action started, great weather, and sporty atmosphere made a perfect day.For the Medium Goal League, Team Champagne Jacquart beat Team Nespresso in a very open and fast game. For the Challenge League, in the first game Les Jolies Filles, from Zug, with a very strong line up, won against Team Hato, and qualified for the Final. In the second game, the young girls from the team San Francisco de Asis, won the qualification games, together with La Tana Polo from Bern. Both teams got a place for the Final.

During the night, all Ladies had time to relax and enjoy the coiffeur and make up attention from Toni&Guy team followed by a healthy and delicious dinner under the nutritional control of Angela Walker, nutritionist and polo player in Ibiza, helped by our exclusive Chef Nathalie Hosting from New Zealand. Together they chose the best ingredients to provide players with energy and power for our Sunday games. Florencia from Flor de Fuego was the grill master, elevating grilling meat to an absolute art form. Hazel Jackson captain of the England Polo Team, and recipient of the Most Outstanding Lady Player Award 2017 at Guards, 8-goal Ladies Polo Professional and Polo Fitness Specialist did a very motivational talk about polo, and life in general.

For the 5th and 6th place, Teams Hato and Polo Park Zürich played a fighting game, with the victory for Hato. For the Final of the Challenge League, San Francisco de Asis, Les Jolies Filles and La Tana Polo played a Round Robin (the 3 teams against each other) with the victory for San Francisco de Asis, Champion of the 18th Edition of the Challenge League. For the Medium Goal League, Nespresso and Champagne Jacquart played against each other for the coveted trophy. They offered us a great game, with nice runs and a lot of goals. Champagne Jacquart was a fair winner, showing solid skills and an open game. The MVP (most valuable player) prize went to Kira Wetzel from Team La Tana Polo in the Challenge League, and to Maike Hölty from Team Nespresso in the Medium Goal League, a very special leather bag for each of them, donated by La Rubia and by Performance Polo.
