Chester Polo Club Announce New Collaboration with ParentFolk

Chester Polo Club, last week announced a new collaboration for 2019 with regional parent publication ParentFolk.

No stranger to Polo at Chester Racecourse, ParentFolk supported the final tournament of 2018, the Boodles Roodee Challenge Cup in September, with a take-over in the family zone. And in-between chukkas, parents got down to the beats of ParentFolk’s resident DJ, whilst little folk enjoyed their own afternoon line up of activities including screen printing polo posters, decorating pony masks, participating in flower craft and can also receiving luxury treatments at the glitter bar!

The line-up was a fantastic success and contributed to the club’s decision to pledge to build on the fledging relationship with ParentFolk and further develop the family offering for 2019, perfect timing for ParentFolk who were looking to expand on their ‘Weekender’ format and offer families something different for the coming months.

News of this extra special collaboration was announced to a special group of regional influencers and friends of ParentFolk at an exciting launch event at Chester Race Company’s on course 1539 Restaurant and Bar. Following the announcement, guests were invited participate in a wreath making class courtesy of local florist Wild, before dining from the Christmas lunch menu – a special treat in the run-up to the Christmas period.

And so to next year’s first Chester Polo Club tournament in June, the White Oak Polo Series. The Sport of Kings will return to the heart of the city centre on Friday 21 & Saturday 22 June 2019. The exhibition series will attract highly skilled teams and players from around the world to Chester and spectators will get the opportunity to witness outstanding play and sportsmanship in serious games of skill across the two days.

Young and old can look forward to a new format on the Saturday, where families unite at the polo. A curated soulful session of sounds, sport, sustenance and simple fun. ParentFolk will be bringing their distinct brand of cool, with traders, street food vendors and carefully designed activities for little ones between chukkas. Information regarding the price of tickets and hospitality packages will be made in the New Year.
