The 2019 USPA Intercollegiate/Interscholastic (I/I) Tournament Season kicks off this weekend with five preliminary tournaments hosted by, Gardnertown Polo Club (Newburgh, New York), Garrison Forest School (Owings Mills, Maryland), Santa Barbara Polo Club (Carpinteria, California), The Equestrian and Polo Center of Boston (Georgetown, Massachusetts, and Commonwealth Polo Club (Paris, Kentucky). 112 teams will compete across four divisions, in Preliminary, Regional and ultimately culminating at the National Championships Tournaments. On the interscholastic side, both the Maryland Open and Girls’ teams will be looking to defend their 2018 titles, similarly, on the college front, the double win for Texas A&M for the mens’ and womens’ squads will have them in hot pursuit of a repeat title. The 2019 USPA National Interscholastic Championships will be held at Brookshire Polo Club (Brookshire, Texas), the week of March 18-24 and the 2019 USPA National Intercollegiate Championships will be hosted by the Virginia Polo Center (Charlottesville, Virginia), April 1-7.
