Intense weekend at the Gold Cup

The Gold Cup for the British Open, one of the most prestigious polo trophies worldwide, hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club, set in Midhurst, West Sussex, resumed throughout the weekend with four matches – two were held on Saturday June 29 and the other two took place on Sunday. The coveted competition features a total of teams up to 22 goals in participation.

Scone and Emlor took narrow wins on Saturday. The recent winners of the Queen’s Cup fought hard to beat Monterosso in extra chukka, while Emlor made a great comeback to defeat VS King Power.

Sunday was a very different story -both Murus Sanctus and Dubai had no trouble at all to emerge victorious against Park Place and La Indiana, respectively.

THE FINAL OF THE GOLD CUP IS DIS ON SUNDAY JULY 21.
