The play-off between the eighth team of the 2019 Argentine Open ranking – La Ensenada – and the winner of the Camara de Diputados Cup – Sol de Agosto Alegría – took place on Monday at the AAP in Pilar.

After six hard fought chukkas, La Ensenada pushed through in the seventh, when they scored four consecutive goals to secure a 14-8 advantage and assure their victory. The win means that they have earned a place in the 2020 Triple Crown, just as they did in 2018, when they also had to face the play-off. La Ensenada will therefore be competing alongside La Dolfina, Ellerstina, LD Polo Ranch, Las Monjitas, La Natividad, La Albertina and La Aguada for the most prestigious polo title in the world.
