Queen’s Cup: La Bamba de Areco are through the quarter finals

La Bamba de Areco emerged as the winners of today’s single match of the Queen’s Cup, and became the fifth team to qualify for the next stage of Guards Polo Club’s premier tournament, that features twelve teams up to 22 goals.

The finals are scheduled  for Sunday, June 16.

In the match held at Manor Farm, Jean-François Decaux’s foursome dominated the scoreboard thoroghout the six chukkas of play to defeat Murus Sanctus 15-11, and earn a spot in the quarter finals.

Therefore, La Bamba de Areco join La Indiana, Talandracas, VS King Power and UAE Polo, all of them already in the quarter finals, to be played on Saturday June 8 and Sunday June 9.

The Queen’s Cup will resume on Wednesday June 5, with the following order of play:

12pm: Monterosso vs Scone Polo (Flemish Farm, Castle Ground)

3pm: Park Place vs Emlor (The Duke’s Ground)

5pm: Dubai vs Casa La Vista Ibiza (The Queen’s Ground)
