This is the shocking moment a man touched a horse’s behind and was knocked out cold after being kicked in the face by the animal at a polo tournament.

Matias Seltzer, 21, was at the Cup Andres Gazzott polo tournament at the Tortugas Country Club located in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Monday.

Despite being knocked out cold, he only suffered minor injuries and was discharged a day after the incident.  

In the video, he walked onto the pitches of the club and strolled towards a horse being held by his father Oscar Seltzer, 55 who was celebrating his birthday.

Matias walked behind the horse and gave it a gentle slap on its rear. 

The alarmed animal responded with a huge and instant kick, sending Matias crashing to the ground and leaving him motionless on the grass.

Local newspaper La Nacion report the horse kicked him near an eye. 

In the video, his father tries to revive him and reports say Matias took 22 seconds to show vital signs after being kicked.

He was reportedly hit near the eye and was instantly knocked out cold in the sickening footage

However, despite the shocking kick, Matias only suffered minor injuries and was discharged from hospital a day later

He eventually moved his arm as his dad held his face before an ambulance arrived.

The paramedics attended to him and local media report was taken to the Los Arcos clinic, located around 18 miles from the club.

He only suffered minor injuries as the horse did not hit him with its iron shoe and he was discharged the day after he was admitted into the clinic.

The horse was described as being normally docile. 

Matias is believed to help his father out at every polo match at the club.
