Real Housewives of Potomac Karen Huger is a special guest at the Polo and Jazz event. Proceeds benefit Circle of Hope Therapeutic Riding.

Poolesville, Maryland

It’s a big deal as Washington, DC area polo events go, Sunday, September 27th at the Congressional Polo Club in Poolesville, Maryland, the 4th Annual Cigars & Guitars – Polo & Jazz event takes place. Event organizer, Susan Smallwood, says, “this year we expect a smaller crowd, which makes it more intimate.” In its fourth year, the event draws high profile politicians, reality stars, and polo lovers. Real Housewives of Potomac, Karen Huger, is lending her time and support to this charity event. Jazz Headliner Marcus Johnson will wow the crowd with his smooth tunes, and Dr. Sylvia Traymore Morrison will present a comedy skit for the evening. The day top event is the polo match; players from the USPA will play for charity. Smallwood says this year’s charity benefits Circle of Hope Therapeutic Riding, a non-profit organization that provides equine-assisted activities and therapies for individuals with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities. Participants are required to wear masks and social distance. Come dress to impress because of prizes for best dress, best dress couple, and masks. Host Committee Organizer, Eve Edmonds, says tickets are still available. “It’s still not too late to get tickets to come out and enjoy the day.”
