As the outbreak and impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve and per Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ statewide stay-at-home order for Florida effective April 2, 2020, Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida, will be suspending all polo until further notice. We are taking this proactive approach and are proceeding with an abundance of caution in efforts to stop the spread of the virus in the community.

We are following the guidelines set in place by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) very closely. The CDC strongly recommends that individuals protect themselves and their community by following this stay-at-home order and minimizing the time spent outside the home to crucial daily tasks, such as grocery shopping and doctors appointments.

Other guidelines recommended by the CDC include:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in a public place, blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or the inside of your elbow when coughing or sneezing, then immediately wash your hands for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer.

Social distancing is essential to slow the spread of COVID-19 and, if we all do our part, we will see you soon for some awesome polo.
