From glamorous festivities to boozy affairs, Perth’s social calendar is heating up just in time for summer.
Sunday Common is the latest event to launch and brings a taste of the high life to our own backyard by pairing the spectacular sport of polo and picnicking.
The new Sunday ritual is a weekly affair dedicated entirely to disconnecting from the weekday hustle and basking in the sun with like-minded commoners.
Set amongst shady trees and the Helena River at the Kings Meadow in Guildford, it’s your chance to unwind and indulge.
Watch a polo scratch match and roll out with picnic rug with a spritz in hand or try your luck at bocce or croquet.
Teaming up with Perth Polo Club, guests are also invited to meet the riders and their equine friends with pony rides and horse grooming stations.
A slow Sunday wouldn’t be complete without gourmet offerings.
More more than 20 stallholders will be lined up next to the polo grounds.
They will serve up artisan cheeses, charcuterie, dumplings, pizza and handmade gnocchi and sweet treats such as French pastries and gelato.
It kicks off this Sunday and runs until April 25.
