2021 USPA Intra-Circuit

The three-week long 2021 USPA Intra-Circuit kicked off with two riveting rounds of polo. After the first week, all seven teams are still in the running to claim the glory of the 2021 USPA Intra-Circuit title. BenSoleimani.com and Dundas secured themselves ideal positions as the only two teams with 2-0 records.

The first game of the day took place at 10 AM between BenSoleimani.com and Antelope. At the half, the game was tied 5-5. The tied, low score was a result of both team’s strong defense and discipline. Beginning their power polo in the second half, BenSoleimani.com pulled away with three unanswered goals in the fifth and sixth to win the game 11-7.

At 2 PM, Dundas II and Folded Hills/FMB Too! faced off. After three chukkers of play, Dundas II had a strong lead of four goals over the opposing team. Yet, Folded Hills/FMB Too! played hard in the second half to try and recover the game. Each player on Folded Hills/FMB Too! scored a goal in the sixth chukker to come back against Dundas II. However, it was not quite enough to win, as Dundas II took the game 12-11.

The 4 PM featured match in the US Polo Assn. Stadium hosted Dundas vs. FMB. This was an exciting match with both teams playing intensely against each other. On the FMB team, Felipe Vercellino substituted for Lucas Criado. FMB stayed in the game almost solely off of penalty conversions with only three field goals the entire game. The match came down to the wire with a buzzer beater goal from Robert Zedda to send the game into overtime at 12-12. Zedda quickly won the whole game for Dundas by also scoring the golden goal to end the game 13-12.
