8-2 defeat for England in Final
On Thursday 16 December, Argentina and England met in The Women’s Nations Cup Final in Palermo. Lia Salvo led her Argentine side with strong defence combined with an impressive offense, which saw England only able to score from two penalties, while Milagros Sánchez was the top goal scorer of the tournament with 10 goals. At the post-match presentations, Lia Salvo was named Most Valuable Player and Tan Zorra, played by Azucena Uranga was the Argentine Polo Pony Breeders Assn. Best Playing Pony.
