Opening win for Spain
The 2021 FIP XIII European Championship began yesterday, Sunday 12 September, with the first match between Spain and Switzerland, which saw Spain secure a convincing 12-5½ win. The tournament is being played from 12 – 19 September at Ayala Polo Club and Santa Maria Polo Club in Sotogrande, Spain, with two groups of three 6-8 goal teams competing throughout the tournament. Each team will play two group games and a Final. The tournament continues today with Austria vs Italy, followed by a double header on Tuesday 14 September with Switzerland vs Netherlands and the loser of today’s match vs Germany
