Great Oaks Les Lions Claimed Debut win on the second day of the Gold Cup

Great Oaks Les Lions made an impressive comeback in the second half to beat Monterosso by a 10-9 score, in the single match played for the Gold Cup for the British Open, that took place on Wednesday June 30.

The tournament, hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club, set in Midhurst, West Sussex,  sees thirteen teams up to 22 goals, compete, and is one of the Grand Slams of Polo, alongside the Argentine Open and the US Open.

The Gold Cup for the British Open will resume on Thursday July 1, with the following order of play:

12pm: Park Place vs. Murus Sanctus (Brooks)

3pm: Scone vs. Thai Polo (Ambersham 3)

The final of the Gold Cup for the British Open is scheduled on Sunday July 25.
