AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY: OPERATIONS/ BARN MANAGER
Work To Ride (WTR) located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the Chamounix Equestrian Center is looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Operations/Barn Manager. The candidate must have a minimum of five years equine managerial experience/oversight and at least one year of basic managerial experience in daily budgeting, supervision and oversight of personnel and program participants, and effective communication skills in a multifaceted, expanding non-profit organization. Candidate must be highly skilled in all aspects of horsemanship, possessing a solid working knowledge of basic equine medical treatments, nutrition and behavior.
Work To Ride has a 35-stall barn with lots of activity situated in a public venue. It is crucial that the candidate demonstrate the ability to supervise and manage barn and facilities personnel, program participants, volunteers and WTR related personnel as well as community visitors. In addition, the candidate must be able to be responsible for day-to-day program operation needs. Candidate should be able to initialize new equine programs under the direction of the Executive Director.
