Following a very close match, that was decided in the last chukka, Marquard Media took a 11-8 victory over Brittany Polo in the single match for the Open de France, that was played on Saturday September 5, the culminating stage of the Triple Crown of France, and is underway at Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly, located 30 minutes from Paris. The tournament sees ten teams, up to 16 goals, compete.
Some of the most renowned players in the world are set to compete in the tournament, such as Talandracas’ Camilo Castagnola, runner up of the 2020 edition, Tomás Beresford, Martín Aguerre Jr., Clemente Zavaleta, Juan Gris Zavaleta, Alejandro Muzzio, Bautista Bayugar, Tito Ruiz Guiñazu, Facundo Llorente, Jero Del Carril and Rufiino Bensadon. Many remarkable French players, such as Brieuc Rigaux, Pierre Henri N’Goumou, Robert Strom and Patrick Paillol are also set to play.
Both teams had to make changes within their lineups in the third chukka. Bautista Beguerie replaced Ramiro Zavaleta in Marquard Media while Brittany Polo’s Brieuc Rigaux’s place was taken by Juan José Storni.
The Open de France Engels & Volkers will resume on Sunday September 5, with the following schedule:
