The Dubai Gold Cup Series announced an update of their 2022 calendar, which led to the change of dates of the tournaments. The Dubai Gold Cup Series is the most remarkable series of polo tournaments in Asia and the Middle East, an event that have been growing and improving for more than ten years. The Gold Cup Series will kick off on Saturday January 22 with the Silver Cup, for teams up to 18 goals, and will come to an end on Saturday April 16, with the finals of the Dubai Cup.
It is worth noting that one of the most significant changes is that all finals will be played on Saturdays. Recently, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that from January 1 onwards, weekends are due to start on Friday afternoon and will go through Sundays. Until this announcement, weekends in the UAE were on Friday and Saturday.
