The Bentley UAE Polo Cup 2022 will start next Saturday and will continue until February 5, with the Handicap 18 Joule, where the tournament is of a high level and witnesses the participation of seven teams, namely: the Emirates led by Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the “AM” team led by Alia Al Maktoum, the Al Habtoor team led by Mohammed Al Habtoor, the Zidan team led by Amr Zidan, the Bangash team led by Haider Bangash, the Dubai Wolves Kafu team led by Habtoor Al Habtoor, and the Cleano Vascon team led by Raja Karim.

A press statement said: “The organizing committee for the Dubai Gold Cup 2022 series held a press conference in the presence of the President of the Emirates Polo Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Mohammed Khalaf Al Habtoor, General Manager of Bentley Emirates Joseph Tayar, and Director of the Emirates Polo Association Santiago, in which the draw for the tournament was held, where the teams were divided. into three groups, the first included three teams, and each of the second and third teams was two teams, and it is scheduled to cut the opening bar at four in the afternoon next Saturday between the Dubai Wolves Kafu and Al Habtoor teams, while Monday will witness two matches, the first to be held at two in the afternoon and combine the teams of Bangash and Alia, The second match will be held at four in the afternoon and will bring together the teams of Zidane and Klinova Skone, while the Emirates team will play its first match at four in the afternoon on Thursday, January 27 against the Dubai Wolves team Kafue.

Mohammed Al Habtoor confirmed that the Federation is in the process of coordinating with the country’s polo clubs to develop a complete program of activity that does not conflict with any of them, and achieves relative comfort for both horses and players.

Al Habtoor revealed the federation’s intention to organize two competitions: the first for buds and cubs, Stars of Hope, from ages 7 to 14, and a second tournament for women, and the two tournaments without professionals, with the aim of creating a new generation of citizen players under the umbrella of the federation. He said: “The idea was presented to Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and she welcomed the idea.”
