The season at Guards Polo Club is approaching to an end, with the last tournaments of the club’s busy calendar. One of them was the Flemish Farm Trophy, the last low goal contest, for teams up to six goals, and it is named after Guards’ second park location of the beautiful Castle ground, which backdrop is the impressive Windsor Castle, built almost 1,000 years ago and which used to be the home of the British Monarchs for several years, until the legendary Queen Victoria moved the residence to Buckingham Palace, in London.
With regards to the tournament, the finals took place on Monday August 29 and saw Tex8n victorious over Tchogan by a 9-7 score. Timi Badiru was named the championship match MVP, while the BPP award went to Dolfina All Nippon, ridden by Nicolás San Román.
Cadence Polo defeated Eleven Harum Scarum 9-5.5 and won the Subsidiary Trophy.
The Flemish Farm Trophy was played through August 16-29, and saw nine teams up to 6 goals, split in three leagues, compete.
