The 2024 season is right around the corner! In Okeechobee, Florida, all of Port Mayaca Polo Club’s (PMPC) barns are filling up and the tracks are already full of sets every morning. This winter promises thrilling polo action including 8-goal, 12-goal, 14-goal, 16-goal and 18-goal, as well as women’s polo at the 10- to 14-goal and 18- to 22-goal levels. Club Member practices will start in mid-December 2023.

The PMPC tournament season will begin in January with the Joe Barry Memorial, a 12- to 16-goal, which runs from January 11-28, 2024. The draw for the Joe Barry Memorial will take place on Friday, January 5.

Other USPA national tournament highlights include the return of the Heritage Cup™ in mid-January (January 16-February 4), the Monty Waterbury in late-January (January 25-February 18) and the U.S. Open Women’s Championship in early February (February 3-18). The final for all three USPA tournaments will be played at the National Polo Center – Wellington (Wellington, Florida).

From March 1-23, PMPC will host a Regional President’s Cup qualifying tournament, with the winners moving on to compete in the National President’s Cup at the National Polo Center in April.

In women’s polo, ladies will be pleased to see the return of The Shady Lady in January (January 27-31) at the 18- to 22-goal level to serve as a lead into the U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship. The 10- to 14-goal Tabebuia Cup will also serve as a Women of Wellington (WOW) Medium-Goal Polo League tournament for the first time from March 19-April 13.

New this year, PMPC will host feature matches every Saturday at 1:00pm ET on Field 1 beginning January 13, 2024.
