República Argentina Cup kicked off in Pilar with four games

La Quebrada Synergy Cloning, Estancia Grande, Altamira and Santa María de Lobos scored opening wins in the first day of action for the República Argentina Cup, the most coveted trophy autumn season in Argentina, following the games that took place at the AAP Headquarters, on Wednesday April 12. The tournament, established in 1929, is special because teams rated from 0 to 40 goals, from all over the country, are elegible to play. The final stages are played between Palermo and the AAP grounds in Pilar, while the final takes place at Palermo. The República Argentina Cup sees sixteen teams between 16 and 23 goals, partake. Teams are split in four leagues.

It is worth noting that the República Argentina Cup is played on handicap and ties are permitted during the qualification stage.

The results of the opening games, played in Pilar, are the following:

La Quebrada Synergy Cloning 20-12 Loma de Zamora

Estancia Grande 20-12 Arelauquen Patagonia Polo

Altamira 19-7 La Natividad

Santa Maria de Lobos 17-11 Coronel Suarez

The Republica Argentina Cup will resume on Thursday April 13 with the following order of play:

1pm: Pilar Chico vs La Chavita

1pm: M: Washington vs La Lucila

3pm: Venado Tuerto vs El Faro

3pm: Cuatro Vientos vs Trenque Lauquen.

The final of the República Argentina Cup as well as the Subsidiary La Nación Cup and Canadá Cup are set to be played on Saturday April 22, at Palermo
