The finals of the 20-goal President's Cup (handicap) and Honour Cup (open) took place on Monday November 16 at the Argentine Polo Association in Pilar.
The 122th. Argentine Polo Open Championship, due at Palermo through November 20 to December 12, was presented on Tuesday November 17, in a press conference that took place at Four Seasons Hotel, in Buenos Aires.
La Mariana captured their third consecutive title of the Municipalidad del Pilar Cup, following their 9-8 win over Alegria on Argentine Polo Association grounds in Pilar.
They called it “The Match of the Century” as, on Saturday 14 November, the world’s top players took to the field of Palermo’s Number 1 Ground in an 80 goal handicap match, organised by the Argentine Association of Polo. The tournament plays was in support of Scholas, the educational organisation set up by Pope Francis.
